First, reduce the need for rescue.
If you are considering getting a puppy or a dog, remember:
- It is a lifetime commitment.
- Dogs need training to become well behaved,
loved members of the family.
- Dogs need care and attention every day.
Second, do not patronize pet stores that sell puppies. These puppies come from puppy mills.
Tell the owners why they are not getting your business.
Third, Alaskan Malamute Rescue of New England, Inc., can always use help from caring
people. Like most other rescue groups, the vast majority of our costs are for veterinary
care. Can you help donate money or material items?
Fourth, help us by volunteering or by providing services.
If you are not located in our geographic area, but would like to volunteer, we can help you
find an organization local to you, that can use the help!
