Cheku

Cheku 1

A note from Cheku's adopted Mom:

We renamed "Chico" to "Cheku", a name we found represented "cottontail in an Alaskan fable. He was a great dog and we had a great life together. His excellent disposition, gentle ways and love of people never ceased to amaze.

He did great for a blind dog. Our Vet did not know how he "saw", but we know he did see some shadows and movement, until he developed cataracts in the last few years. Our 3 cats quickly became his pack mates-only a growl or two when they ate from his dish.

He enjoyed a (really slow) walk and a biscuit up until the day he died. We had him for 7 of his estimated 11 years, and he gave us joy every single day. He never failed to put a smile on people's faces, everyone loved Cheku, us most of all. We miss him.
